DESIGNING AN ADULT PARTY

Over the past few weeks, the designers here at Royal Flair Events have had the privilege of working on some truly amazing adult birthday parties. Creating magical children's parties with fun themes and bright colorful designs is always a blast, but we love when we get the opportunity to create an intimate celebration for an adult! Both of these themes were uniquely different, from their venue to their theme to the overall design. These two spectacular events will show you that regardless of guest list, space, budget, or theme you can create something out of the box and unique for that special someone!

Our first adult birthday party was held at Nashville based Kayne Prime restaurant. We were contacted by the wife of the guest of honor who had rented a room at the restaurant. The restaurant would provide an intimate space and a delicious dinner for the 40 guest party, however the wife wanted to make the party even more memorable by adding in some personalized touches. Our inspiration was taken directly from the restaurant using natural wood, stones, and moss to compliment the already beautiful space.

We contacted graphic party designer Loralee Lewis who specializes in event paper and stationary design. She helped us bring this party to life with personalized favor tags and menu cards using her Gratitude collection. The vibrant green and tree graphic complimented our vision of using moss and wood disks throughout the design. To add a personalized touch we hand-lettered mini birch disks with the initials of the guest of honor and tied around each menu card.

The natural centerpieces tied the entire event together. Using tree disks, moss, and artichokes the colors and elements truly added a special addition to the tables.

What is a party without a party favor? Royal Flair Events has had the privilege of working alongside Momma Nik's Cheesecakes for the last few events we have designed. Her small cheesecakes jars are the perfect party favor for any event and just as delicious as they are beautiful!

Stay tuned to see the other adult birthday party we had this very same week! This time we take it outdoors, and add a touch of vintage classic to an amazing party theme!

Ella Bella Ballerina Party

A classic ballerina party with a twist!

The inspiration for this party came from the Ella Bella Ballerina book series. When the client brought these books to us, we honestly had never even read them ourselves. We purchased the books, read through them with our own children and fell in love with them instantly. Author James Mayhew does a fantastic job at capturing your children's (and your own!) interest in these magical tales! If you haven't read them, Ella Bella is a ballet student. After class she plays her teacher's music box and is magically transformed into the popular dance the class is learning. There are currently 4 books in the series; Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, The Nutcracker and Swan Lake. They are truly a joy to read!

Our client had a vision of using the entire book series in her party theme. She wanted the party to have an overall ballerina feel, but with touches of each book individually. Using props and themed desserts, a hand painted, hand crafted cake (that is truly one of a kind), and some lovely princesses this book themed party came to life in a magical way!

Whatever your theme is, let Royal Flair Events help you create a magical party for your little one's next birthday party! We love to celebrate!

Memorial Day Displays

Memorial Day is a wonderful way for us all to remember the men and woman who have sacrificed their lives for our country as well as celebrate the freedom that we have because of their sacrifice. Whether you are celebrating at home or away, inside or outside, small or grand, creating a patriotic display is always a fun way of expressing your gratitude! And if you are a parent, a great way of teaching your kids how to show appreciation for others!

If you are driving by Royal Flair Events you will see we have brought a little patriotic nostalgia to our window display and shown what makes us think of the USA! You can view our most recent window displays on our Instagram page.

Today we wanted to share with you some of our most favorite red, white, and blue party displays and details! Let these great ideas spark your creative side!

We are in love with this patriotic set up created by Lia Griffith and featured on Hostess with the Mostess. Even better than just getting visual inspiration for your event, Lia gives us tutorials for some amazing DIY projects and party printables so you can make your own vintage Americana celebration!

Not only do we adore these painted bushel baskets that make fabulous table display pieces, we also seriously love popcorn!! Who doesn't, right? Kimberly over at A Night Owl is a woman after our own heart as she creates her masterpieces after dark! Take a look at how she creates these patriotic baskets!

Mason canning jars are becoming oh so popular to use in decorating. An added bonus is they are inexpensive and if you live in the South you probably have them lying around waiting to be fancied up! We can't get enough of these jars painted to look like mercury glass! The process is easy and the outcome is stunning! Landee at Landeeluu gives us her secrets to creating this amazing look!

However you choose to celebrate and decorate, we hope that you have an amazing Memorial Day weekend with your family and friends!

Milk and Cookie Display

We love to get our hands on designs that inspire us to create beautiful things. While the theme of milk and cookies may seem more child-like, we decided to create a vintage romantic display reminiscent of a Southern tea party. How perfect would this be for a wedding or a baby shower?

All the details... mint green and pink is very popular color combination now especially in the South. These colors mixed with the lace and burlap help create the vintage look we were trying to achieve. Labels with lace, tied jute and, pink satin ribbon, in addition to the wood and iron bistro set all bring the look together.

Don't be afraid to think outside of the box when you come up with a theme for your event. Using fun colors or unusual patterns can create the most amazing displays!

MAGICAL MERMAID PARTY

At Royal Flair Events we love parties that take us to magical places! This mermaid theme presented us with a few challenges as the event was to take place at the beginning of March! We laughed as the client told us she had tried to talk her daughter into another theme to make the planning process simpler, but this little 4 year old knew what she wanted and stuck to her guns! Mermaid party it was!

After hours pondering the true capabilities of an outdoor theme in winter, we knew we had to take this party indoors to achieve not only the amazing outcome we always seek here at Royal Flair Events, but also have happy (and warm) clients and guests!

After searching many venues in the Nashville area, Aquarium Restaurant provided us with everything we were looking for to create a magical experience! Complete with a 200,000 gallon tank full of brightly colored fish, daring sharks, and unique stingrays the restaurant gave us a true underwater feel! In addition to providing delicious catering for the guests, the children were able to take a behind the scenes tour and have a special encounter with some sea creatures! The entire staff at Aquarium were so helpful and accommodating as we added special Royal Flair touches.

Mermaid sighting!! In true Royal Flair fashion, we had to take it up to the next level! Thanks again to the wonderful staff at Aquarium Restaurant we were able to find two mermaids who were willing to leave their ocean home and join in the fun as we celebrated this special little girl. They swam the tank, flipping around, providing the guests with great entertainment. All 75 guests, children and adults alike, couldn't take their eyes off these magical creatures!

No mermaid party would be complete without the most beloved mermaid of all.... Ariel! We are so grateful the underwater princess took time out of her busy schedule to join us for a birthday celebration. Ariel sang some of our favorite movie songs and read to the children. The party wouldn't have been complete without her!

If you are planning your next event and have a fun theme, Royal Flair Events would love bring it all to life for you! Contact us at info@royalflairevents.com for more information!
